Founded in 1854 and is one of the oldest sporting institutions in Wiltshire, England. Competing in the West of England Premier League, the club has steadily grown from a single village team to a thriving community hub offering 4 men's Saturday sides, 3 women's teams, and an active youth setup.
Historically known for playing on a slightly bumpy, beloved pitch known as the "Bassett bobble", RWBCC operated at the Rylands Way sports ground alongside the local football and tennis clubs. The original ground was donated to the town in 1930 by local dignitary Major Gerard Buxton.
As the club expanded, the 7-acre site at Rylands Way became too small to support burgeoning team memberships in the 21st century. Following a major 10-year project spearheaded by the Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association (RWBSA), the club relocated in 2015.
We welcome players of all abilities and ages, from under 10's through to adult cricket, and always need volunteers to help with coaching, matchday organisation and committee roles. If you're new to the area or just starting out, there's a place for you here.
