Founded in 1987, the Royal Wootton Bassett Petanque Club is one of the largest and friendliest Petanque organizations in Wiltshire. It has grown from a single court in Minety to a premium facility at the multi-million-pound Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.
Today, the club boasts over 200 members ranging in age from 5 to 75. It provides opportunities for all skill levels, fielding multiple teams in the Swindon and District League and offering extensive coaching programs for both adults and juniors.
New members, of any ability, any age, are always welcome. Coaching and encouragement are always available, along with club boules if you don't have any.
We welcome players of all abilities and ages, and always need volunteers to help with coaching, fundraising, organisation and committee roles. If you're new to the area or just starting out, there's a place for you here.
